A bold, local identity for a new kind of neighbourhood pub.

When Bearsden Athletic Club opened its doors at the start of 2025, it instantly became a breath of fresh air for the area. Bearsden had been crying out for a proper pub – one without endless sports screens, but with great music (think Wilco, Springsteen and co.), next-level comfort food, and a brilliantly curated range of beers.

Everything Will Be Fine, the Glasgow-based design studio of Kerr Vernon, was tasked with creating the brand identity for the new venue. “It’s always exciting to work on something that’s part of the local community,” says Kerr. “Projects like this remind me why I love what I do.”

The resulting Bearsden Athletic Club branding blends vintage German beer aesthetics with the spirit of old-school athletic clubs. The identity is bold, playful and proudly local – built around a family of flexible badges rather than a single logo. A lively colour palette, fun tone of voice and a hint of mischief capture the easy charm at the heart of the pub.
