The Whisky Bond was originally built in 1957 as a bonded warehouse for Highland Distilleries. Since 2012, it has been repositioned as a creative commercial property, home to a growing community of designers, makers, artists, and creative businesses.
Spanning six floors of a former warehouse at Speirs Locks, The Whisky Bond offers a diverse and affordable mix of studios, office space, and shared working environments. The building is branded and configured to support creative practice, flexible working, and the long-term needs of independent businesses and cultural organisations.

‘Quite simply, it’s difficult to imagine The Whisky Bond without the TWB identity, which has been an essential part of establishing the space in the minds of Glasgow’s creative and cultural network. From day one, the identity felt like the perfect fit, yet designed and built to last, much like the building itself. From the over-sized signage, to the subtle way-finding throughout the building, the branding has since worked in a myriad of ways and, crucially, has been adopted by all parts of its diverse audience – businesses, artists, and visitors alike.’
