The Spanish Butcher Brand Identity

We created the brand identity for The Spanish Butcher, with locations in Glasgow and Edinburgh, rolling it out across menus, signage and the website. The aim was to reflect the confidence of the food while keeping the overall tone refined and understated.

The identity centres on a bespoke monogram paired with the expressive display typeface Splandor. A rich, earthy palette and textured photography nod to Spanish landscapes and butchers’ marks, but the execution stays deliberately low-key. Rather than leaning into cliché Spanish tropes, the result feels closer to a refined Manhattan steakhouse with subtle Mediterranean influence — confident, atmospheric and quietly distinctive.
